When I visited Cape Town a while ago, Kevin Johnson from UCT told me I have to visit a small company called GetSmarter and their CEO Sam Paddock. Kevin, as always, was right. This not so small company impressed me with their culture, passion and drive to educate people.
Sam Paddock is the Founder and CEO of GetSmarter. His LinkedIn profile states: "I'm an education entrepreneur, businessman, family man, Cape Town enthusiastic and learning geek. In 2008 I co-founded GetSmarter - a company that offers certified online short courses from the world's leading Universities. The company now employs 350+ people who are on a mission to improve lives through better education."
This is an important podcast for anyone interested in start-ups and their management.
